TRANSCRIPTION INFORMATION

An audio hour means the hour of actual (voice) recording whereas transcription hour is the hour required to transcribed/type a document.  The ratio between the two can vary from 1:3 to 1:6 meaning that a document can take from 3 to 6 hours of transcription/typing for each audio hour.  The reasons for such a variation in transcription time include speed and clarity of speech recording, background noise on recording, more than one voice being recorded, terminology, accents and quality of recording.
